Involves in all training in welding matter, and co-ordination of activities within Weld-shop environment and ensures production and performance commitments are met. Trains, monitors and coaches team members to improve skill level and to adhere to policies and standards. Ensures Weld-shop Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performances of work force. Emphasize continuous improvement through implementation of best practices and lean practices
Essential Responsibilities:
· Actively participate and sustain high level of 5S.
· Create Macro welding parameters and welding program to all Cladding machine in Weld-shop.
· Assist WE to conduct WQT for new welder, and PQR test for new job material.
· Weld Shop tolling, and other equipment in charge.
· Assists supervisor in monitoring and resolving matters related to Weld-shop operations.
· Ensures Weld-shop equipment is maintained.
· Ensures department quality and delivery output goals met.
· Provides training, motivation, guidance and communication to team members to develop competent, disciplined, safe and quality conscious team.
· Co-ordinates with maintenance and upgrade of machine tools to meet organizational objectives.
· Co-ordinates with internal stakeholders to optimize manufacturing process and queue times.
· Initiate improvement plans and cost savings.
· Apply knowledge of Auto TIG / Manual welding machines, shop mathematics, metal properties, and welding procedures to produce quality parts.
· Create and improved process instructions in weld shop.
· Assist in driving the team to meet on time delivery
· Resolve routine queries and problems independently
· Conduct RCA to develop corrective and preventive actions.
· Execute and maintain simultaneous manufacturing activities across value streams.
· Navigate data visualization platforms/manufacturing systems, describe real-time process performance, describe operational trends on metrics dashboards.
· Execute process interfaces with robotic & automation equipment within the value streams.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Diploma or NITEC in related field.
· Experience in Lean manufacturing and problem solving skills.
· Good communication and interpersonal skill
· Good knowledge in workplace safety procedures
· Five to seven years of experience in Cladding Machine Weld-shop environment.
· Strong PC skill in Microsoft office applications.
· SAP experience in preferred
· Spends 50% of time in shop-floor environment.
· Exposed to possible shop hazards, which may include high noise, heavy equipment and machinery, temperature extremes and shop traffic.
· Uses material handling equipment for moving parts in shop.

Quality & Customer Support
- Ensure wire bonding processes meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
- Support SPC monitoring, OOC/OOS investigations, process capability analysis, and quality improvement activities.
- Support customer audits, engineering evaluations, and technical investigations when required.
- Prepare technical reports, qualification reports, and engineering presentations.
- Support implementation of engineering changes and process improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Requirements

- Experience in semiconductor assembly, wire bonding, or backend manufacturing is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with wire KNS bonding equipment
- Good understanding of wire bonding processes, equipment, materials, capillaries, leadframes
- Experience in NPI, process qualification, DOE, SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a hands-on approach to production problems.
- Good understanding of semiconductor assembly manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet NPI and production support timelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Au, Cu, Ag, or Pd-coated wire bonding.
