Job Description:

1. Tax Preparation, Accounting & Reporting

∙            Prepare and file income tax returns and other required tax filings and documentation.

∙            Reconcile current and deferred tax balances, including deferred tax assets and liabilities, to the general ledger.

∙            Assist in preparing current and deferred tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.

∙            Ensure accurate and timely tax disclosures in the financial statements.

∙            Support period-end and year-end tax accounting and reporting processes.

2. Tax Compliance

∙            Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and other relevant tax laws and regulations.

∙            Coordinate with external tax advisors and agents in preparing federal, state, and local corporate tax returns.

∙            Ensure tax returns are filed accurately and on time and that tax payments are made by the applicable due dates.

∙            Monitor tax filing and payment deadlines and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.

3. Tax Audit Support

∙            Respond to inquiries and information requests from tax authorities.

∙            Assist with tax audits, examinations, and other interactions with tax authorities.

∙            Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors to prepare supporting documentation and responses.

4. Tax Research

∙            Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and relevant tax developments.

∙            Research tax issues and assess the potential impact of legislative and regulatory changes on the business.

∙            Communicate relevant tax developments and implications to appropriate stakeholders.

5. Recordkeeping & Documentation

∙            Maintain complete, organized, and accurate tax records, calculations, workpapers, filings, and supporting documentation.

∙            Ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with internal policies and applicable statutory requirements.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Tax Advisory

∙            Provide tax advisory support to business teams on transactional matters and compliance requirements.

∙            Support the business in understanding and meeting tax compliance obligations arising from new transactions, products, services, or market entries.

 

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, financial tax accounting, or public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm experience is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of local and international tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements
  • Adequate understanding of corporate, property, federal exercise and environmental taxes
  • Adequate understanding of tax accounting standards IFRS and USGAAP
  • Hands-on experience with corporate income tax preparation, tax provision, and financial statement tax reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, Oracle
  • Experience supporting tax audits, preparing documentation for tax authorities, and responding to notices.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (federal, state, and international, if applicable).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams.
