Senior Account Manager
04 Aug 2026Job Description:
What You Will Do
• Own a territory of 150+ accounts across CPG, Apparel, Health, and eCommerce verticals, managing renewal and expansion with a relationship-first approach.
• Drive funding originations representing a significant share of company revenue, independently sourcing and closing multi-million-dollar monthly funding volumes with consistent quarter-over-quarter growth.
• Build and sustain consultative relationships with C-suite stakeholders (CEOs, CFOs, COOs), guiding them through the financial evaluation and credit underwriting process and tailoring working capital solutions to their specific growth objectives.
• Turn founder conversations and platform data into compelling credit narratives — reading balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and consolidated financial reports to assess creditworthiness, funding eligibility, and repayment capacity, and translating that analysis into a story internal Risk and Underwriting teams can act on.
• Work through legal entity structures — including holding companies, subsidiaries, SPVs, and multi-jurisdiction corporate arrangements — to accurately identify the borrowing entity, assess consolidated risk exposure, and ensure appropriate documentation, developing this expertise alongside our Underwriting and Legal teams.
• Apply working knowledge of credit market structures to position funding solutions appropriately within a client's existing capital stack, including senior secured debt, mezzanine financing, subordinated debt, and equity, and advise clients on how our products interact with existing lender covenants and intercreditor arrangements.
• Leverage proprietary technology and data platforms to support underwriting and credit decision-making, including translating platform-generated signals and eCommerce performance data into compelling credit narratives for internal Risk and Underwriting teams.
• Advocate internally for clients by partnering cross-functionally with Product, Underwriting, Legal, and Risk teams to optimize funding outcomes, ensure creditworthiness assessments reflect client context, and accelerate deal timelines.
• Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Cash Advance and Invoice Funding products, deepening client relationships and growing account value over time.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the GTM playbook and founder-facing content — sharing deal learnings, client insights, and market signals with Sales leadership and cross-functional partners, and lending a hand to storytelling-driven initiatives (case studies, community, and content) that build brand trust in the eCommerce founder community.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and account data in Salesforce, leveraging Outreach for engagement sequencing and Slack/Notion for internal collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Required Expertise
• 5+ years of experience in account management, client-facing sales, or a quota-carrying revenue role — ideally within eCommerce, fintech, financial services, or an adjacent founder-facing environment.
• Demonstrated track record of top-tier quota attainment and consistent revenue or account growth, including experience scaling volume or pipeline over multiple consecutive quarters.
• Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with founders, business owners, and C-suite executives, with a natural strength in storytelling and translating complex or technical information into a clear, compelling narrative for non-specialist audiences.
• Strong financial statement literacy, or the demonstrated aptitude to quickly develop it: comfort reading and interpreting balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management accounts across a range of business sizes and structures.
• Working knowledge of, or strong aptitude to learn, credit markets and lending structures — senior secured debt, mezzanine financing, subordinated debt, revolving credit facilities — and how these interact within a borrower's capital stack.
• Comfort supporting credit underwriting and diligence processes, including assessing repayment capacity, revenue quality, and overall creditworthiness of growth-stage businesses, with guidance from internal Risk and Underwriting partners.
• Ability to manage a large, complex account portfolio (100+ accounts) across multiple industry verticals simultaneously, with the discipline and data-driven prioritization to focus on high-value opportunities without letting accounts lapse.
• Proficiency using CRM and data tools (Salesforce, or equivalent) to track pipeline, surface insights, and inform account strategy, alongside strong data analysis instincts.
• Cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience or comfort working alongside underwriting, risk, legal, and product-style teams to advocate for clients and move complex deals forward.
• Familiarity with a modern sales and collaboration tech stack: CRM (Salesforce), engagement platforms (Outreach), and collaboration tools (Slack, Notion).
Additional Preferred Expertise
• Familiarity with intercreditor agreements, lender consent processes, and the practical implications of adding a new credit facility to a business with existing senior lenders.
• Experience using data visualization or business intelligence tools to surface portfolio-level insights and proactively identify renewal or expansion opportunities.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus, given the Canadian client base and cross-market operations.
• Exposure to cause-related, mission-driven, or civic/community stakeholder engagement, particularly in converting smaller contributors or supporters into larger, long-term commitments.
