Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the façade, curtain wall, steel structure, and aluminium construction sectors to support the company’s growth objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, consultants, main contractors, government agencies, and private sector project owners to generate and sustain project opportunities.
  • Manage the full business development lifecycle, including lead generation, client engagement, pre-qualification, tender participation, commercial negotiations, and contract award.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and project teams to develop competitive technical proposals, tender submissions, value engineering solutions, and design-build offerings.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, design presentations, industry events, and project discussions to promote the company’s expertise, capabilities, and service offerings.
  • Work closely with senior management, including the General Manager and Managing Director, to formulate and execute strategic business development and market expansion plans.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, competitor activities, and upcoming project pipelines to identify emerging opportunities and maintain market competitiveness.
  • Establish and strengthen a network of industry stakeholders, including consultants, architects, developers, contractors, suppliers, and key decision-makers within the construction sector.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition of awarded projects to project execution teams, ensuring alignment of client expectations, contractual requirements, and project objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships, alliances, consortiums, and joint venture opportunities that support business growth and project acquisition initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, business development reports, and pipeline tracking to support management decision-making and business planning.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of business development, project acquisition, sales, or marketing experience within the façade, curtain wall, steel structure, building envelope, or construction industry in Singapore.
  • Proven track record of securing, contributing to, or supporting major construction projects, landmark developments, or high-value project opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of façade systems, curtain wall solutions, structural steel works, aluminium structures, and construction project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build long-term relationships with developers, consultants, architects, project owners, and main contractors.
  • Experience managing opportunities involving complex technical requirements, competitive tendering processes, and significant contract values.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, business acumen, and market intelligence with the ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to contribute strategically to business growth initiatives and support the company’s long-term market expansion objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Well-established network within Singapore’s construction, façade, curtain wall, and building envelope industry.
  • Experience working with façade contractors, specialist subcontractors, general contractors, developers, engineering consultancies, or architectural firms.
  • Proven success in converting business leads into awarded projects and developing long-term client partnerships.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, target-driven, and highly competitive business development environment.
  • Familiarity with Singapore construction procurement processes, public sector tenders, and private sector project acquisition strategies.
  • Strong understanding of design-and-build procurement models, value engineering, and commercial proposal development will be advantageous.
