Purpose of the Job
• Develops solutions that resolve highly complex problems in development and implementation of strategic and long-term programs to improve process, equipment, or methodologies.
• Plan and control material flow and equipment layout in manufacturing.
Job
• Provide directions to Manufacturing Specialists and Supervisors to aim for high productivity.
• Drives fab discipline to eliminate quality excursion.
• Arrange training for Manufacturing Specialists to reduce IRR, rework and scrap.
• Manage WIP tracking and movement to achieve daily output and OTD.
• Responsible for BOM planning, Reticle Management and Stencil Management.
• Deploy Equipment-Promis System interface such as RMS, Bar Code and RFID to minimize human error.
• Accountable for overall fab safety.
• Oversee new equipment planning/facility upgrade/installation.
Requirement
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent with minimum of 5 years experience in supervisory role, preferably in a fab environment.
• Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or its equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience
• Requires thorough knowledge of practical applications of concepts, procedures and guidelines to solve complex problems
• Requires knowledge in electronics and mechanical principles and thorough understanding of process technology
• All aspects of this job are Wafer Process (eWLB, WLB and WLD) plant wide, affecting operations

Job Description: Application Engineer
Direct Report to: Application Manager
Responsibilities:
- The Application Engineer supports the Sales team by studying customer requirements and proposing suitable company's solutions. The role prepares technical proposals, layouts, specifications, cost inputs, and coordinates with customers and internal teams to ensure the proposed solution is technically correct, cost-effective, and aligned with Company’s standards.
- Working Flow; Sale Opportunity > Project Validation > Project Proposal (Quotation/Layout) > Project Transfer
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements, product details, capacity, layout, and process conditions.
- Validate project requirements, technical feasibility, application risks, and key assumptions.
- Select suitable equipment and prepare machine configuration.
- Support Sales with technical proposals, quotations, layouts, specifications, and presentations.
- Conduct site measurement and collect key site information for layout and proposal preparation.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Project, Service, customers, and global teams.
- After project award, transfer required specifications, scope of supply, assumptions, exclusions, and key project requirements to the internal execution team.
- Prepare clear project handover information, including scope, risks, and technical clarifications.
- Maintain and improve application documents, templates, cost accuracy, and standard solutions.
Required Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial, Process Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, automation engineer, project engineer, process engineer, solution engineer, or related industrial machinery field.
- Experience with EPC, System Integrator, sugar mill, feed mill, flour mill, rice mill, packaging, weighing, material handling, automation, or related industries is preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Good technical understanding of machinery, automation, process flow, and customer applications.
- Able to read layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Able to perform site measurement and translate site data into layout or proposal requirements.
- Able to prepare cost estimation and support quotation cost calculation.
- Good communication and coordination skills with customers and internal teams.
- Good English communication skills for technical discussion, documentation, and global coordination.
- Problem-solving mindset with cost and customer focus.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and presentation tools is an advantage
- Able to drive a car and hold a valid driving license
- Having a personal car is an advantage
- Able to travel domestically and overseas when required.
