Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

  • Carry out machine, equipment, and label system set-up, configuration, changeovers, and pre-start checks according to product specifications and production requirements.
  • Prepare and verify materials, packaging components, and equipment required for production batches.
  • Carry out equipment cleaning, sanitation, CIP/SIP activities, and line clearance activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure all materials, tools, chemicals, and equipment are available, verified, and ready prior to production start-up.
  • Perform start-up, shutdown, and operational checks on production and processing equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate processing, packing, and ancillary equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products are manufactured according to quality, quantity, and process specifications.
  • Perform routine equipment adjustments and process monitoring to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct routine process checks, sample collection, inspections, and documentation as required.
  • Maintain accurate production, process, and cleaning records.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow safe work procedures when handling raw materials, chemicals, equipment, and production processes.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, plant hygiene, and workplace cleanliness at all times.
  • Report equipment abnormalities, process deviations, safety concerns, and quality issues to the immediate superior promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and corrective action activities to support operational excellence.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or food production environment, with manual batching & filling operations.
  • Basic knowledge of machine set-up, configuration, and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
