Job:
Support and manage legal and compliance matters
- Manage contract-related matters, including the review of non-disclosure agreements, commercial agreements, and other business contracts, as well as contract administration and record management.
- Support the management and resolution of legal disputes in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage corporate compliance matters, including anti-trust and anti-bribery requirements, and conduct regular legal and compliance training for employees and affiliates in Southeast Asia.
- Oversee Personal Data Protection responsibilities and ensure compliance with PDPA requirements, including conducting regular assessments to identify gaps and mitigate data protection risks.
Support and manage Security Trade Control (Export Control) for the Southeast Asia region
- Support the overall management and implementation of security trade control requirements across the Company.
- Manage concerned end-user list notifications, verification processes, and follow-up actions where required.
- Administer export control-related processes in SAP, including material creation, classification, extension, manufacturer confirmation, and export licence release following background checks and approval from Headquarters.
- Consult with and obtain approval from the HQ Legal and Export Control team for transactions involving concerned countries or military-related organisations.
- Conduct regular training and communicate security trade control updates to employees, particularly sales teams, to promote compliant business transactions.
- Prepare and submit the annual sales report to Headquarters and participate in Global and Asia Export Control meetings, where applicable.
Requirement:
- Degree/Diploma in either legal, international business, business administration, supply chain management or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in dealing with trade compliance, customs compliance or international trade regulations
- Some experience of working in law firms or as an in-house legal, business contract review and management.
- Awareness of geopolitical developments and their impact on international trade.
- Proficient in basic functionalities of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to multi-task and self-motivated.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and good time management skill.
