IT Specialist (DevOps)

We are looking for a highly motivated IT Specialist (DevOps) to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications for government enterprise project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in modern application development, container platforms, CI/CD automation, and cloud technologies, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications optimized for performance, resilience, and automation.
- Develop microservices architectures and implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment and delivery processes.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and documentation.
- Review customers’ existing business workflows and system functionalities, and recommend improvements or technical solutions.
- Support solution architecture and technical design activities during pre-sales and project implementation phases.
- Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Drive software engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes within the team.
- Install, configure, and integrate COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products with in-house software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong experience in designing and developing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
- Hands-on expertise with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in one or more backend programming languages/frameworks such as GoLang, .NET, or .NET Core.
- Experience with JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Strong working knowledge of Git version control.
- Experience building and deploying applications on Kubernetes platforms using managed cloud services.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools such as Prometheus.
- Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring software engineers is advantageous.
This role requires individual to clear CAT 1 due to the nature of the project.
