IT Infrastructure Engineer (System Administration)

The scope of IT Infrastructure Engineer (System Administration) shall include the following:
- Working with a system infrastructure team;
- Responsible for the operations, support, maintenance, research and development to ensure continual innovation of the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system;
- Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for on-premise environment and on Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC);
- Participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure;
- Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners; and
- Accountable for the following systems:
- Red Hat Linux and Windows;
- Middleware includes WebSphere Application Servers, WebSphere Message Queue.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Recognised degree with a technical major such as engineering, data communications or computer science. Diploma holders with relevant experience and expertise will be considered;
- System Engineer certification in Red Hat Linux and/or Microsoft including Cloud;
- Minimum 3 years system administration experience;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills;
- Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
- Knowledge and experience in Red Hat Linux scripting; and
- The skills for the following will be considered as an advantage:
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCC
- Terraform and Ansible
- Gitla
