Indirect Purchasing Executive
13 May 2026Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic-minded Indirect Purchasing Executive to lead our Indirect Spend portfolio, with a heavy focus on Engineering, Construction, and CAPEX. This is not just a transactional role; you will be the bridge between technical engineering requirements and commercial excellence. You will drive high-value projects across Thailand and Cambodia, ensuring cost-efficiency through advanced data modeling and robust supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Category Management: Lead the end-to-end indirect spend portfolio, specializing in engineering works, construction, CAPEX, MRO, and general services.
Data-Driven Cost Leadership: Move beyond price benchmarking. Use ABC analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and spend modeling to identify "hidden" savings and initiate process improvements.
Technical Sourcing Excellence: Partner with Engineering and Facility teams to co-develop Terms of Reference (TOR). You will be responsible for translating technical drawings and BOQs into commercial RFQ packages.
End-to-End Procurement: Execute the full sourcing lifecycle—from market surveys and bid evaluations to high-stakes negotiations and final contract awards.
Operational Governance: Oversee the SAP workflow (PR → RFQ → PO) to ensure 100% auditability and compliance with internal controls.
Supplier Performance & Risk: Monitor contractor milestones, manage warranty claims, and develop risk mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
Cross-Border Logistics: Orchestrate import/export formalities for cross-border purchases, managing customs brokers to ensure seamless delivery between Thailand and Cambodia.
Job Specifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years in Indirect Procurement, specifically within industrial, engineering, or construction categories. Experience at a Lead or Supervisor level is highly preferred.
Technical Literacy: Ability to read technical scopes, engineering drawings, or Bill of Quantities (BOQ). You must be comfortable "holding your ground" in technical discussions with contractors.
Analytical Prowess: Proven track record of driving savings through data analysis (TCO, spend modeling) rather than just negotiating discounts.
Systems & Tools: Proficiency in SAP is mandatory. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query) are essential for spend analysis.
Language Skills: Business-level English proficiency (equivalent to TOEIC 700+) for professional collaboration with international stakeholders.
Logistics Knowledge: Solid understanding of import/export processes, customs formalities, and local procurement regulations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field. (Candidates from non-engineering backgrounds with strong technical procurement experience are welcome).
Working Location: Bangkok
