Financial Controller (Chinese)

Role: Finance Management / Financial Controller (Accounting)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Responsible for US GAAP and Thailand financial reporting and financial analysis, internal controls, business process improvement, providing advisory and support service to local and corporate management teams, compliance, risk management

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the company’s accounting processes and work with Finance in China & US for monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
• Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures and systems in accordance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles
• Continuously review the company business activities and processes to evaluate the risk and prepare mitigation process.
• Provide analytical service to support business decision making and support company to execute effectively.
• Manage the accounting/ finance department; Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Manage the process for audit, tax, customs and treasury management.
• Establish forecast and budgeting process and target across organization and drive the forecasting and budget results.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve profitability of the business.
• Assist management in driving financial and operational accountability throughout the organization Support management team with ad hoc reporting requests, profitability analysis, strategic analysis, global projects and other duties as assigned.
• Direct the function of information systems. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accountancy, Finance or its equivalent.
• US Accounting Standard experience preferred.
• At least 10 years progressive experience in financial management in multinational firms and/or accounting of manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to controlling, consulting functions and planning activities.
• Numerically strong and comfortable with high-technology PC work environment; ERP experience.
• Mature personality with a strong degree of ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including the Group GM and Controller
• Pro-active, independent and a quick learner
• High moral character, a self-starter, and capable of operating independently when required.
• Excellent analytical and good skills
• Chinese Native or Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) and English are required
