About the Company

Our client is a leading international manufacturing organization serving global customers across highly regulated industries. With a strong focus on operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth, the company is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join its leadership team and drive financial strategy, governance, and business performance.

This is a strategic leadership position that will partner closely with the CFO and senior management team to support business growth, financial planning, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance and accounting function, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and business plans.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modelling activities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, business performance updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, audit, and compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to support decision-making, profitability improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash flow management, and working capital planning.
  • Monitor organizational performance against financial targets and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate governance requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banking partners, tax authorities, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead tax planning activities and ensure compliance with all applicable corporate tax, VAT, customs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing finance teams and business-critical financial operations.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CPD, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, financial reporting standards, taxation, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing finance, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business recommendations.
  • Experience managing audits, treasury, banking relationships, and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment.
