SUMMARY: The Director of Manufacturing Operations will join the company at a time of exponential growth and opportunity. You will collaborate closely with the Production Team and Senior Leadership Team to understand who we are, where we are going and what it will take to get there. This role involves supervising manufacturing process, identifying opportunities, determining high-level strategies, and effectively implementing solutions to scale production. You are required to have extensive experience in production, growing a business and leading a team. Your role is equally motivated to share your knowledge as well as learn from others. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the direction and coordination of manufacturing operations to ensure accurate production timelines and quality requirements.
• Supervise the production planning schedules and manage productions according to standard process and procedures (including purchasing, production control, fabrication and assembly, short run machining, maintenance, tooling, shipping, and receiving, and manufacturing engineering).
• Implement and monitor closely production plans to all relevant departments.
• Manage and examine the status of all machines, equipment, materials, finished/semi-finished products, warehouse, and goods under the management scope of the manufacturing lines.
• Establish the people models for manufacturing operations balancing productivity, sales, outside processing sources, and machining and personnel capacity to determine optimal personnel requirements.
• Plan and forecast human resources need for the manufacturing sector. Train and establish a teambased work culture and the effectiveness of cooperation and collaboration needed to staff and maintain the performance levels and synergy for optimal results.
• Support C-level groups and the president in formulating and administering organization policies, manufacturing processes, long-term strategies, productivity goals, asset utilization, and efficiency measures needed to meet or exceed business unit shipment goals.
• Develop, analyze, implement, and maintain budgets for all costs for manufacturing operations. Continuously improve the process to save energy resources and input materials while maintaining high-quality products. Assists in driving the necessary pipelines to reduce major costs for energy,
material/procurement, and productivity improvement. Coordinates and affects the necessary capital expenditures to support efficiency, capacity, and growth activities for improvement.
• Coordinate across multiple key management functions including sales, manufacturing engineering, quality, HR, design engineering, etc. to optimize throughput, continuously improve productivity and efficiency, process and procedures, labor encouragement, ensuring highest quality standards are met by organization and maintain or improve profitability levels.
• Periodically conduct performance reviews of workers/employees to measure KPIs.
• Report periodically or at the request of the Board of Directors and superior leaders. Support the development, implementation, and proposal of measures to improve labor productivity and efficiency of the factory.
• Drive a disciplined focus on daily Gain and Loss metrics throughout the plant.
• Participate in various relevant projects or tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s or a higher degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• At least 5-10 years of progressively broadening Manufacturing experience. A background in aluminum manufacturing preferred.
• Lean experience (Kanban, Value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S/6S, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Hands on leadership to perform both tactical and strategic activities. Track record of driving improvement with quantified results.
• Ability to develop, mentor, and coach team members to drive optimal performance.
• Possess good written/oral communications skills, as well as the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner. Positive can-do orientation. Able to deal effectively with a broad range of personalities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated project/team management capabilities that can meet aggressive deadlines.
• Strong facilitation skills, conflict resolution, change leadership, coaching, mentoring, and project management skills.
• Interacts well and with a high degree of urgency to customers, and at all levels within the organization, as well as across organizations.
• Confidence in working with ambiguity and handling complexity. A change agent approach with strong functional team building abilities.
