Responsibilities
- Deployment & Optimization: Site acquisition, site survey, site design, testing, commissioning, and drive test to ensure the network meets strict KPIs.
- In-Building Systems: Design, analyze, and oversee the execution of In-Building Design (IBD) solutions to ensure optimal indoor coverage and capacity. Manage the physical deployment, installation, and integration of inbuilding infrastructure alongside traditional macro sites.
- Project Planning & Delivery: Project design, financial costing, and timeline monitoring. Prepare project schedules to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Manage, monitor, and track all engineering activities to ensure efficient completion within the shortest time frame.
- Source suitable equipment, hardware, and materials required for successful project execution, and meticulously compile the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Manage and lead the technical portion of tender projects, thoroughly reviewing tender documentation to raise concerns and solutions.
- Provide accurate engineering designs, detailed costing models, and project pricing, acting as the primary point of contact for all customer issues.
- Deployment Coordination: Liaise closely with both customers, Building Owner and external contractors to seamlessly coordinate project requirements and physical site deployments.
- Timeline & Milestone Management: Direct contractor and supplier schedules to guarantee that all deployment timelines and critical project milestones are met.
- Commercial Negotiation: Review quotes from contractors and suppliers, negotiating pricing to optimize project margins.
- Network Troubleshooting: Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot the live 4G , Tetra and DMR network to maintain high Grade of Service (GoS) standards.
- Oversee, monitor, and troubleshoot any services and technical trials implemented by the company.
- Attend to customer complaints, providing prompt technical solutions and costings for TETRA, LTE, DMR, and other services provided by the company.
- Inventory monitoring to guarantee that all physical assets and stocks are fully accounted for.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, and presentations required by active projects and stakeholders.
- Progress Reporting: Create and deliver regular engineering progress reports highlighting team activities and milestones.
- Motivate and encourage team members to drive high performance, a positive workplace attitude, and strong teamwork.
- Monitor and secure critical spare parts required for continuous network operations and project demands.
- 24/7 Availability: Remain contactable 24x7 to respond to critical network faults, major events, and company emergencies.
- Standby Support: Be on standby for all ad-hoc, scheduled, and event-based network support to guarantee timely fault resolution.
Requirements
- Tertiary education qualification majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics or related area
- Good knowledge in Radio planning, optimization and troubleshooting in LTE mobile network and Tetra network
- Good Knowledge on manual distributed antenna inbuilding design and RF.
- Well versed with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Experience in in project management
- Relevant Telecommunications certification and experience in working with 4G network
- Must have class 3 driving licence
- Must be comfortable to work in rooftop, construction sites, harsh environment and service tunnels.
