Job Responsibilities
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student inquiry, reflection, and continuous growth.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student achievement and well-being.
- Organise classrooms and learning resources in accordance with school expectations, creating stimulating and purposeful learning spaces.
- Coordinate and lead enriching learning experiences beyond the classroom, including outdoor education and educational visits.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, achievement, and behaviour, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
- Prepare and lead class assemblies, performances, and year-group productions that celebrate student learning and achievement.
- Contribute actively to the school's extracurricular activities (ECAs) programme.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance, promoting students' personal development, well-being, and safeguarding.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, health, and safety through positive behaviour management practices aligned with school policies.
- Participate fully in staff meetings, professional learning activities, school events, and occasional evening or weekend commitments.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' of teaching experience, preferably within an international school setting.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, together with a recognised teaching qualification such as PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent teaching licence.
- Experience supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and implementing effective language acquisition strategies.
- Experience delivering inquiry-based learning and subject-focused approaches within an international education context.
- A demonstrated commitment to educational excellence and the ability to foster a lifelong love of learning.
- Experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum will be a plus.
- Subject specialisation in one or more curriculum areas, including Mathematics, English, Science, Humanities, or Creative Arts, with a willingness to teach across year levels.
