Job Responsibilities

Façade Design & Technical Delivery

• Lead façade design development for complex projects, including curved, irregular, large-span, unitised, and other high-complexity façade systems.
• Oversee the full design process — from concept through detailed and working drawings — ensuring sound façade detailing, appropriate system selection, and constructability.
• Review fabrication drawings and cutting lists to verify design intent, accuracy, and buildability.
• Apply strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve complex façade engineering issues independently.

Singapore Regulatory Compliance & Approvals

• Ensure façade designs comply with Singapore building regulations, applicable Singapore Standards / SS EN standards, and façade performance requirements.
• Manage coordination with BCA, SCDF, and other relevant authorities, and support local approval and submission processes.
• Liaise with consultants to fulfill regulatory and coordination requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Façade Performance Engineering

• Apply façade performance requirements covering wind resistance, water tightness, air tightness, thermal performance, materials, and durability into design decisions.
• Plan and oversee performance testing, mock-ups, and verification processes.
• Investigate and resolve façade performance issues arising on-site or during testing.

Design Development & Software Application

• Produce and review façade design models and documentation using Rhino, Grasshopper, and AutoCAD.
• Utilize Revit, Tekla, or other BIM/parametric modelling tools to support complex geometry design and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Lead node modelling and detailed system coordination for high-complexity façade elements.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Lead and manage the façade design team, providing technical review and mentorship to junior staff.
• Manage design subcontractors and coordinate closely with architectural, structural, MEP, and construction teams to ensure integrated design outcomes.
• Act as the key technical point of contact with clients, architects, and consultants, driving issues to resolution.
• Coordinate with the China headquarters/team on cross-border project matters

Construction-Phase Support

• Provide on-site technical support during construction, addressing design changes and technical clarifications.
• Oversee façade performance testing, mock-up reviews, and fabrication/installation coordination with contractors and fabricators.
• Identify and implement design optimizations to support efficient, high-quality construction outcomes.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Independently conduct client, architect, and consultant meetings, technical presentations, and email correspondence in English.
• Ensure clear, timely design-document coordination across all project stakeholders and multicultural teams.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or above in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Façade Engineering or a related discipline. A relevant Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 12 years of relevant façade design/engineering experience. Experience in major complex façade projects, international projects or design-team leadership.
• Technical Background: Strong experience in concept, detailed and working drawings for complex curved, irregular, large-span, unitised or other high-complexity façade systems; sound knowledge of façade detailing, system selection and construction implementation. Ability to review fabrication drawing and cutting list.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations, applicable Singapore Standards / SS EN standards, façade performance requirements and local approval/coordination processes. Knowledge of BCA, SCDF and consultant coordination requirements.
• Familiarity with façade performance requirements including wind resistance, water tightness, air tightness, thermal performance, materials and durability. Experience with testing, mock-ups, performance verification or site issue resolution.
• Relevant Singapore professional registration, façade/building-envelope certification or other recognised industry credentials will be an advantage. 
• Software: Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Tekla or other BIM/parametric modelling tools. Strong façade system detailing, node modelling and coordination capability.
