Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the automotive workshop to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage the workshop as a profit-driven business unit, including P&L, budgeting, cost control, revenue, and profitability.
- Lead and develop all teams, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive sales, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in business and operational performance.
- Manage inventory, procurement, spare parts, suppliers, and overall resources effectively.
- Ensure service quality, safety standards, compliance, and effective resolution of customer complaints.
- Work closely with the MD to support business development and regional expansion.
- Travel and work within the CLMV region approximately 2 weeks per month to oversee operations, business performance, and team management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager or Workshop Manager in the automotive industry
- Hands-on experience managing a full workshop operation as a business unit
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance
- Solid business acumen with proven experience in P&L management and revenue growth
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in the CLMV region approximately 2 weeks per month
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field is preferred
- Expertise or experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be an advantage
