Seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting function. The successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting and compliance for the company as well as our overseas subsidiaries, and will lead, develop and manage the finance team. This is a key leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, cross-border coordination skills, and the ability to drive process improvement across a growing group of entities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations for the company and its overseas subsidiaries, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across all entities.
• Take ownership of overseas subsidiary accounts, including reviewing local bookkeeping, ensuring intercompany transactions are properly recorded and reconciled, and coordinating with local finance staff, accountants or agents in each jurisdiction.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team – overseeing and reviewing works done by the finance team.
• Drive quarterly and annual closing activities across the group, including GST/tax submissions, statutory audits and tax filings, ensuring overseas subsidiaries meet their respective local statutory deadlines.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and overseas subsidiary contacts to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions in which the group operates.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and full sets of accounts, ensuring strong internal controls across local and overseas entities.
• Manage group cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
• Review invoicing, purchase orders, contracts and expense claims, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping across entities.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects, business analysis and process improvement initiatives as directed by management.
Requirements
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
• At least 4-6 years of relevant finance/accounting experience for Finance Manager, or 6+ years for Senior Finance Manager, with proven experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Prior experience managing, consolidating or reviewing accounts for overseas subsidiaries or multiple entities is essential.
• Demonstrated experience leading, developing and managing a finance team.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST and cross-border statutory/tax compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks)
• Meticulous, analytical and able to manage competing priorities across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with overseas teams and external parties across different time zones.
• Independent, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of outcomes with minimal supervision.
