Job Summary

• Seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) leader to champion health, safety and environmental excellence across our Singapore operations. Lead EHS programs, regulatory compliance, injury prevention, EHS culture advancement and environmental protection for operations in Singapore, which comprise a chemical manufacturing plant, an R&D facility and a sales office.
• Supporting Process safety management, providing EHS support for customer requirements and supporting new product introductions in Singapore.
• Partner with country leadership and site management teams to maintain our BizSafe, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
• Support major expansion projects and drive continuous improvement.
• Shape process safety strategies across the Asia region.

Responsibilities

•Provide EHS leadership and oversight for manufacturing, R&D and sales activities in Singapore.

•Ensure compliance with applicable local and international regulatory requirements and internal EHS programs.

•Partner with the Singapore Leadership Team on country EHS programs, goals and objectives, providing proactive advice, coaching and support for culture advancement and safe workplace.

•Engage the Site Management Team on EHS matters and continuous improvement projects.

•Lead the Incident Management and Process Safety Program including investigations and data analysis to identify incident trends and priority areas for improvement.

•Identify training needs and support the development and delivery of annual EHS training and emergency response programs for employees.

•Provide EHS oversight and support to site managers for new product introductions and site expansion projects, including hazard reviews and operational readiness investigations (ORI).

•Ensure our sites maintain their BizSafe, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

•Contribute, as a member of the Asia region EHS team, to enhancing the region's process safety system.

Requirement:

•Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline from a recognized university.

•A minimum of 6 years' EHS experience in the chemical, electronics or pharmaceutical industry; experience leading teams on site-wide projects is an advantage.

•Strong knowledge of Singapore environmental, occupational safety and health regulations, as well as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and BizSafe.

•Demonstrated technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and controlling workplace hazards.

•Strong leadership and communication skills.

•Sound knowledge of process safety is an added advantage.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer

• Fire Safety Manager

• Auditor certification for ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or similar accredited EHS management systems.
