We are seeking driven and hands-on Assistant Project Managers to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take ownership of project execution, lead multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex construction projects.
The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of construction works.
Collaborate closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and relevant authorities to resolve technical and operational matters.
Review construction drawings, design specifications, site discrepancies, defects, and variation works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Monitor subcontractor performance, work progress, and payment claims to ensure accuracy and alignment with contractual obligations.
Develop and manage project schedules, resource allocation, and work plans to achieve key milestones and deliverables.
Conduct regular site coordination meetings and provide progress updates to ensure alignment across project stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and guide project teams while promoting productivity, accountability, and effective teamwork.
Identify potential project risks, resolve site challenges, and implement practical solutions to minimise delays.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, construction quality, and overall project performance.
Job Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with an established main contractor.
Prior experience in tunnelling, hotel developments, or complex building projects will be highly advantageous.
Proven experience in project coordination, construction planning, subcontractor management, and site execution.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, quality management, and construction methodologies.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
