Reports To: Finance & Legal Senior Director
Position Summary
To support rapid business expansion, the establishment of multiple legal entities (including a new Joint Venture), and ongoing capital investments in production capacities, we are recruiting a Controlling & Accounting Director. This senior executive will lead, structure, and elevate the Accounting and Controlling functions, overseeing a nationwide team of approximately 34 staff across 8 sites. The primary objective is to enhance operational efficiency, establish accountability, optimize team resources, and guarantee the timely submission of statutory and management financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Statutory Compliance
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings, ensuring accurate and timely submission of internal management and Group reports.
Guarantee strict adherence to Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS), tax regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate financial policies.
Manage statutory audits, Group audit requirements, and act as the primary liaison during local tax inspections.
Maintain robust internal control frameworks aligned with Group Internal Control Systems (ICS).
Provide expert guidance and resolve complex accounting, tax, and reporting matters across all entities.
2. Controlling & Strategic Financial Planning
Manage the monthly financial performance reporting cycle (WD4) for Regional and Global HQs, ensuring complete analysis of Sales, Operating Costs, FTEs, Balance Sheet, and Capex.
Monitor commercial metrics (CRM KPIs, contract execution, customer satisfaction) and align regularly with Sales leadership.
Conduct granular customer and product-line profitability analyses to guide pricing strategies and margin expansion initiatives.
Oversee the annual budgeting and long-term planning process (MSP) across all operating entities and joint ventures, covering P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow modeling.
Develop comprehensive financial models (IRR/NPV) to evaluate capital investments, new plant constructions, major customer contracts, and M&A opportunities.
Serve as the country lead for Risk Management and ESG KPI tracking.
3. Team Leadership & Process Transformation
Direct and mentor a team of ~34 finance professionals across 8 locations, building succession plans, talent capability, and critical backup arrangements.
Drive continuous improvement in data management, accounting policies, and revenue/cost allocation accuracy to sharpen P&L/Balance Sheet forecasting.
Champion process automation and digital transformation to streamline accounting workflows and increase financial reporting efficiency.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Accounting, Controlling, and FP&A within medium-to-large multinational corporations.
Demonstrated track record of directly liaising with government bodies, tax authorities, and external auditors.
Business fluency in English is required; proficiency in German or French is a strong advantage.
