•            Assist in the supervision of pharmacy technicians/assistants in routine patient care activities in outpatient pharmacy

Role and Responsibilities

• Carry out machine, equipment, and label system set-up, configuration, changeovers, and pre-start checks according to product specifications and production requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or food production environment, with manual batching & filling operations.
• Basic knowledge of machine set-up, configuration, and troubleshooting preferred.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.

Position Summary

The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical operations of vending machines, chillers, and freezers. This role requires strong hands-on technical capability to diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and system-related issues while leading technical teams and ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Technical Operations & Troubleshooting

• Perform hands-on diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for vending machines, chillers, and freezer systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, refrigeration, and mechanical faults.
• Handle urgent machine breakdowns and provide on-site technical support when required.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring technical issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure machines are operating within safety and operational standards.

Vending Machine Support

• Configure and troubleshoot vending machine systems, payment systems, coin/bill validators, cashless terminals, and control boards.
• Support machine software settings, firmware updates, and communication systems.
• Resolve dispensing, cooling, sensor, and product delivery issues.
• Perform machine installations, relocations, and commissioning.

Chiller & Freezer Maintenance

• Diagnose refrigeration system faults including compressor, condenser, evaporator, thermostat, gas leakage, and cooling performance issues.
• Monitor refrigerant levels and ensure proper refrigeration cycle operations.
• Handle temperature calibration and cooling efficiency optimisation.
• Coordinate major repairs and replacement of refrigeration components.

Team Management & Leadership

• Supervise and guide technicians and service personnel.
• Provide technical training and coaching to the maintenance team.
• Assign daily service schedules and monitor job completion.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, and service standards.
• Evaluate technician performance and improve technical competency.

Preventive Maintenance & Asset Management

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain proper service records, maintenance logs, and technical reports.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure critical parts availability.
• Recommend machine upgrades or replacements based on equipment condition.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Refrigeration, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on technical experience in vending machines, refrigeration systems, chillers, or freezers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Experience handling compressors, cooling systems, PCB boards, and payment systems.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Leadership experience in managing technicians or service teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to travel for on-site servicing and emergency support.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and inventory control is an advantage.

Department: Group R&D

Reporting to: GTQM & Process Manager

The GTQM Assistant Manager is responsible for independently managing assigned Group TQM portfolios, development of Group policies and guidelines, supporting and driving food safety, quality governance, and quality culture across the organisation's Business Units (BUs).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Group TQM Governance

• Support and develop Group Food Safety & Quality policies aligned with international standards.
• Lead assigned governance areas and drive standardised group guidelines / standard operating procedures implementation across BUs.
• Act as custodian for designated quality systems to ensure compliance and brand protection.

2. Critical Food Safety & Quality Management

• Lead or support problem solving of critical food safety/quality issues, including escalation for resolution.
• Apply structured problem-solving (RCA, CAPA) and guide BUs on corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and support crisis management activities.
• Develop and maintain the manufacturing process Quality Plan governance program for Business Units, coordinating and engaging BUs' key stakeholders for Quality Plan alignment and implementation.

3. Quality Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Manage the Group Quality Complaint Dashboard, verify data accuracy, correct complaint classification, trend analysis, and action tracking.
• Drive improvements via Business Unit Engagement, risk assessments and change management programs.
• Promote food safety and customer-centric quality culture and a continuous improvement mindset.

4. GTQM Resource Systems & Documentation

• Manage GTQM systems and databases, including document control and user access.
• Provide guidance to BUs, coordinate and align Quality Plans across BUs.

5. GTQM Qualification Projects

a) New / alternative vendor qualification for ingredients (RM) and Packaging (PM) — activities include document review, supplier liaison, technical assessment, and audits to meet company standards before listing on the Approved Vendor List.

b) New lines / change of equipment Process Qualification (PQ) — involves sterility test plan design and execution, cleaning and sanitation (CIP), and hygiene verification to meet company requirements, prior to line approval for commercial runs.

6. Packaging Projects

• Support the development, execution, and qualification of primary and secondary packaging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on timelines, costs, testing, and package design.

7. Leadership Support & Backup Role

• Act as second-in-command within the GTQM function, supporting the GTQM team with execution clarity across overall GTQM matters.
• Step up to assume broader GTQM responsibilities in the absence of the Manager, ensuring continuity and effective decision-making.

8. Other Assignments

• Undertake any other assignments/projects assigned by superior, to meet business needs.

This role encompasses the development and implementation of robust quality control processes, conducting product inspections at critical stages of production, and preparing comprehensive reports that document and address production issues in a timely and effective manner.
